Navajo Rugs and Blankets for Sale
As some of you know, I'm from Colorado and spent a fair bit of time in Four Corners area and down in Flagstaff, on the other side of the Reservation. Over the years, Heather and I have accumulated a variety of Navajo rugs and blankets. Space requirements dictate that we sell a few of these from our personal collection, so here they are.
Navajo blanket terminology tends toward complexity and subjectivity, so rather than give each blanket a "style" name, with a few exceptions, we simply provide good photographs and let you, the customer, call these what you wish. We guarantee our blankets to be authentic and as described, and like everything we sell, we offer an unconditional three day inspection with full return privilige less shipping charges.

- Approximate age: 1920
- Warp count per inch: 10
- Weft count per inch: 34
- Condition: This blanket is in better shape than I'll be at 90+ years. Several small holes are visible in the image, and the blanket is just a little bit thin on the ends. I would say at some point it has been hung up based on the appearance of the edges. Much of the selvage is gone, and I would recommend having the edge stabilized fairly soon to prevent any unravelling. There is a little damage to the warp on the ends. On the plus side, no bleeding, no stains, and no moth damage. Colors are still fairly bright with only a little fading.
- Comments: This is a very tightly woven and attractive early J. B. Moore storm pattern. Lots of lazy lines and a very well executed pattern!

- Condition: This rug has no holes or stains and is still nice and bright. One end, however, has had some corner damage that has been repaired by sewing on some red material. Note this is just starting to pull back apart and could use a little touch up.
- Comments: Other than the one end, this is quite a nice rug. If you have a place where you could run one or both ends under a table or under another rug, this would be very good for floor use.
