Larry
& Heather Jones. How do you do? Larry Jones has a Phd in
Geology. I caught him at a rare moment sleeping in this photo (when you
click on the thumbnail), something he doesn't do to well at night. I am
Heather with a degree in the school of hard knocks (truthfully I
haven't had many hard knocks but it is my only degree). So now you know
what we kinda look like. |

This
Year's 14,000er. Uncompahgre Peak. To tell the truth, I hurt for
days and days afterward. I guess it took us about 4 hours but I made
it. No problem for Lar. As usual he had to wait for me and get a little
nervous about the weather comming in. |

Lar's
New Toy. Oh Boy! Some days Lar takes a few hours off other things
(not without feeling guilty) to have fun and work on his new 1949 TD6.
Winter is comming and he would like to get it running before then. |

Lar
& The TD-6 In Action Folks he finally got this thing running!
What a challenge that was-- but this spring 06, he is building a new
road. We subdivided our 32 acres into
2 pieces and this road will go to the other property. I know my photos
leave much to be desired but at least you can get
some idea of what our place is like. |

A Rare
Day Fishing. We finally got down to the Black Canyon in November
Lar brought his pole and did some fishing but they weren't even biting
nymphs. |

Lar's
& Kitties Shop. It is too small to see but the sign on the
building says MEN. It should say MEN & KITTIES. Tubby & Stevie
sleep and have their meals in the shop and come and go as they please
through the kitty door except at night when they stay in. |

The
Woodpile Our main source of heat in fall and winter is a wood
stove. We have lots of deer and you can see the chain saw noise doesn't
even bother them. They came out to graze in the middle of the day while
Lar was working. You can see the bunk house in the background before
getting painted. |

Snow.
As usual these pictures from the winter of 04-05 have been sitting in
the computer and now that the summer is almost over I'm getting them on
the website. So much to do - so little time? or good use of time, is
more like it for me. Lar is the one that never wastes it. I fritter it
away regularly. |

Spring.
This year I didn't get any new spring pictures. We had a late freeze
and didn't get many apricots this year which we were happy about. On
the other hand, we didn't get cherries either. Too bad. The mullberries
kept on comming. I ate some. There were also lots of plums but no one
here cans so there was plenty of fruit for birds and critters.

Haying.
Farmer Jones haying his field. That farming gets to be hard work for an
old guy, being in the sun at 95 + degrees and then hefting the heavy
bales. It is easy to get dehydrated. A guy has got to hike once in
awhile to relax.

Tubby.
Tubby had surgery this spring for a thyroid problem. They shaved her
neck and afterward she looked to me like a heavy busty woman wearing a
low cut dress. It is all grown back now and she is fine lying around
waiting for meals and fat as ever. |

Stevie.
Lar started letting her into the house to be the therapy kitty and take
naps with me last fall when I was sick. We have never had a cat in the
house before. She has now become the reigning Princess here and comes
in all the time. She is still the therapy nap kitty, but Lar takes her
out at night to sleep in the shop with Tubby. |

Sunset.
Sunset on the Grand Mesa. It is time
to get the fire going. |
